Hitting the rocks.

Curtis and I are around bikes a lot.  We work on bikes, ride bike, think about bikes probably more than is healthy sometimes.  It probably doesn't surprise many of you that some time away from bikes is more than needed from time to time.

Last Monday Curtis and I took advantage of the gorgeous weather to go rock climbing with Mike Pofahl.  Mike is an accomplished custom bike builder, and also has been climbing in all forms for decades now.  While Curtis and I are new to the sport seriously, we've climbed off an on since Boy Scouts years ago.

Mike running the ropes.

Me up the wall.

Needless to say we had a great time.  It's a totally different kind of work out than riding a bike.  It's kind of a quiet, contemplative type of physical labor.  I thoroughly enjoy it, and can't wait to get out again.  A huge thanks to Mike for his expertise, time and guidance.

Happy Wednesday all.  Take care.

Tuesday Update.

All-City Nature Boy.

As any usual start to our weeks, today has all sorts of stuff going on.  We are expecting a few All-City Nature Boy's and are excited about them.  One is a complete bike for a customer, and one will be built up from a frame as a demo bike for the shop.  We have one of each color coming in.  These promise to be great bikes, and reviews have been really positive so far.

The build spec on these bikes is basic but quite nice out of the box.  The hubs and headset are cartridge bearing jobs from Cane Creek and All-City respectively.   FSA square taper cranks and a bunch of other nice looking parts round out the build.

These are really good looking, affordable bikes that ride well.  They offer a lot of classic styling in an attainable package, and they come built with parts that will last a long time. I am looking forward to having these around the shop, as well as the other fine offerings from All-City.

Check out their full line of bikes are their website,

Tuesday Night Ride.

We plan to ride at Murphy Hanrehan mtb park in Savage tonight if the weather holds.  We will plan on being there at 7pm, leaving to ride shortly afterward.  We will update you on weather.  If it's raining we will not be going of course.

Have a great day, we'll talk to you soon!

Back in gear and ready to move forward.

So, long time no blog post.  I am sorry about that.

This year has brought with it some of the biggest personal struggles I've ever had to deal with.  The last few weeks have been yet another chapter in that story.  All I can say along those lines is that things have stabilized, things are settling down, and we are getting back to some semblance or normalcy again.

That said, it's back to regular posting as of today.  Thanks for your patience and concern, have a great day.
